Steilacoom High School Leadership
A Message from Principal TyrrellSentinel Families! Welcome to the 23-24 school year.
I want to share one thing with you, and it's something we will talk about as a staff while our year unfolds. It's simple and small. It's repeatable.
Joyful and Confident.
These are two things I want for every future graduate of Steilacoom High School. Whenever our young adults make it to the stage at St. Martin’s University (and for seniors that is only a few months away) I will know we have done our job well if our students are joyful and confident.
I hope our graduates are joyful because they have completed a milestone which requires perseverance, seated next to friends who supported them along the way, in front of families who love them without reservation.
I hope our graduates are confident because they are embarking on a new challenge for which they are well-prepared, with skills that are both modern and timeless, ready to grow into adulthood with a balance of strength and humility.
Thank you for entrusting your student with us. We are honored to carry this responsibility into the new year. Until we meet each other in person, I wish you the best.
Warmly – Jake Tyrrell, Principal
